Why is Ant Control Important?

Ant infestations may seem like a minor nuisance, but they can quickly escalate into a bigger problem if left unchecked. Certain species, like carpenter ants, can cause structural damage by burrowing into wood, while others, such as fire ants, deliver painful stings that pose health risks. Even common household ants contaminate food and create unsanitary conditions as they forage in kitchens and pantries.

Effective ant control not only eliminates existing colonies but also prevents future invasions by targeting entry points and nesting sites. By addressing ant problems early, you can protect your home, maintain a clean environment, and avoid costly damage or infestations that may spread to other areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Ants Bite?

Yes, some ants do bite, but the severity depends on the species. Most common household ants, like pavement ants, may bite but rarely cause pain. However, species like fire ants deliver painful stings that can cause itching, burning, and allergic reactions in some individuals.

What Do Ants Eat?

Ants are omnivores, meaning they eat a variety of foods, including sweets, proteins, and fats. They are attracted to sugary substances like nectar and fruit, as well as proteins from dead insects or human food scraps. Their diet varies by species, but most ants scavenge for whatever nutrients they can find.

Been using Blue grass for a few years now. Very reasonably priced compared to those big corporate company's. I like that they send an email prior to arrival a day or two ahead of scheduled service. Service techs are always friendly and willing to answer your questions and respectful of property.

Great customer service, I only wish the email notifications would give you more of a heads up when you’re coming. The one day notice is short, especially if you’re working or inclement weather is forecasted. Maybe two or three day notice?
